It’s always nice when you wake in Tokyo, have your cereal, and do a quick scan of the newspapers to find out what’s happening, and there on front page of The Guardian website is a photograph you shot on assignment in 1998…

1998, Glasgow, Scotland, Tony Blair goes to (if i remember correctly) a new restaurant ( Nairns?) up near Park Circus and in tow is Alastair Campbell. I shoot the obligatory shots of Blair as he comes out, and then I dropped off a frame or two with Alastair Campbell in focus. Only a frame or two though I remember. This was in the days of film.

Fast forward 12 years and it’s on The Guardian website, (not for the first time, it’s ticked away as a stock pic over the years). Excellent. That’ll be a whole 10 quid to me.
