It wouldn’t be the 20th July if we didn’t mention the moon landings, and Hassleblads, and exploration. NASA over on their site have a good set of images to peruse, and which very kindly you can download in high resolution. Nice, download, print it out, great pic for the wall, many thanks NASA.
Here is one of the images, not from Apollo 11, but from Apollo 12. As the NASA caption says: Apollo 12 astronaut Alan Bean holds a special environmental sample container filled with lunar soil collected during his sojourn on the lunar surface. A Hasselblad camera is mounted on the chest of his spacesuit. Pete Conrad, who took this image, is reflected in Bean’s helmet visor, Nov. 20, 1969.

And interestingly on reading other captions, apparently there is only one good frame of Neil Armstrong on the moon, taken by Buzz Aldrin. Apparently Armstrong did most of the photography….
TIME magazine also has a good slideshow of images, some out-takes from the lunar shoot.
