Thoughts of a Tokyo, Japan-based editorial corporate portrait assignments photographer

Photography grants, bursaries, awards blog.

Over here at TokyoLand, west of downtown, we like to keep busy. When there’s not assignments to be shot, pics to be edited, archived, keyworded blah blah blah, invoiced, then we trawl around looking for other sources of revenues to keep the Wheels of TokyoLand turning.

Past couple of weeks, in between assignments, I’ve been toiling with “On one side of A4 describe why we should give you money” type grant proposals, show us yer pics, tell us yer idea, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll squeeze onto the shortlist. You never know, to win the raffle you have to buy a ticket. And as I’ve said before, entering is also a good way of getting your work in front  of The People That Matter.  And today, in the morning delivery of emails thown onto my grassy lawn by a 10 year old kid on a bike,  my good mate Stuart over at Umbra Sumus tells me of a blog devoted to photography grants, bursaries, awards, proposals and information.  Now don’t all go reading it at once….
