Tadashi Yanai, Japanese richest man.

Forbes magazine.

Forbes magazine, 2nd March 2009.

Forbes magazine have very nicely run my photograph of Tadashi Yanai, Japan’s richest man, on the cover of their March 2nd 2009 issue, with another of my images of him inside, and also an image from one of his Uniqlo shops.

The pictures accompany an article on the 40 richest men in Japan, of which it appears I’ve photographed 5 in total,  12.5% of the top wealth in Japan. Now if only I had 12.5% of their money.

The 5 that I photographed were, and their position in the rankings, and links to photographs of:

1st. Tadashi Yanai, worth $6.1 billion, owner of discount clothing chain Fast Retailing.

5th. Masayoshi Son, worth $3.9billion, founder of internet and telecom company Softbank.

17th. Soichiro Fukutake, $3.7 billion, owner of Benesse, a correspondence school. And owner of a museum (designed by architect Tadao Ando) built to house his own private art collection, way down in Naoshima Island.

19th. Minoru Mori, $1.1 billion, from real estate.

32nd. Tadahiro Yoshida, $620million, from running YKK, the world leading zip and fastner makers, and also building material supplies.
