Courtesy of JC in Shetland here’s a link to a slideshow and chat by Eammmon McCabe, former picture editor at The Guardian. Eammon was the picture editor who gave me my first job. The results of it didn’t get published. That was way back in the last century, the picture was shot on black and white, and the film was posted overnight in an envelope to the paper for their developing and editing. None of this pixels, 0′s, and 1′s flying through the air that we have nowadays.
