I have a big archive project going on these days. It’s time consuming, but occasionally I stumble across some gems in my own archive, my own slices of history. Like these two images above, of Slobodan Milosevic and Franjo Tudjman.

Bruce Gilden describes his favourite shot, one of Japanese Yakuza. Gilden’s book ‘Go’ is still by far, along with Pinkhassov’s beautiful ‘Sightwalk’, the best of the photo books on Tokyo by a Western photographer.
