…so little time….
So all these recent quiet weeks here in TokyoLand I’ve been doing stuff, been busy as ever, shooting, editing, invoicing, shooting, reading. The usual. There’s quite a few links/stories/ articles I wish to write about here in TokyoLand, however briefly. So, without much further ado…
SnapperTalk, by my good pal Ben, is back up and running, full of lots of interesting links. Ben manages to finds links and articles different from the world I seem to move in, so always interesting. Take the time to check them out, it’s worth it.
My olive farmer correspondent in Italia sent me this link, Steve Mayes on the future of photography, the king is dead , long live the king. An interesting read, and also on the same page is Tim Hetherington’s WPP acceptance speech which is worth reading.
The Chinese Earthquake, terrible, what can you say ?. On The Times there is a small slideshow of images of a wedding which was taking place at the exact moment the quake struck. Interesting images, especially I thought image 2 in the slide show. See the slideshow here, half way down the middle column on the page.
Also, the Reuters blog has an article about disaster news photography by Dave Viggers, worth a read (cheers for SnapperTalk for highlighting it). Also, I thought this was an incredibly sad image, bringing home the terrible reality of the situation. I’m not sure who took it, other than it’s a Reuters photographer.
