The past couple of days I had the joy of joys of being out on a “celeb” job, shooting pics of a well known actress….not the type of job I do too often, but now and again good fun none the less.

But importantly there have been other results announced also this past week, no not Picture of the Year, not the World dePress Photo, not any of that….
The ‘Yahoo Ramen Noodle Restaurant of the Year‘ awards have been announced ! And one of my favourite places wins an award. Fantastic.

Tim Hetherington talks about his winning World Press folio….look for the pic of the old Afghan guy holding the baby. Heart wrenchingly sad.

There’s a great pic of Vladimir Nabokov on the front page of The Times today…and when I went looking to find out who it is by, surprise surprise, it’s a Magnum shot, by Philippe Halsman.Here’s the article it relates to. Apparently Nabokov was a collector of butterflies.
