One great thing about a typhoon passing is that it clears the air, everything looks sharper, more defined. This morning it was very easy to see the snow covered Mt. Fuji from my balcony. Stuck between two horrible buildings admittedly, but Mt. Fuji none the less.
It seems The Guardian today has a photography supplement, with interviews with Anton Corbijn, Steve Pyke, Richard Young and other notables (including the inevitable Magnum allstars). Well worth a read.

The 1st of November sees the publication of the book ‘Scottish Photography, a History’, by Dr. Tom Normand. Surprise, surprise, I tell you this as I’m in it. Dr.Normand has very nicely written some kind words about me and my work, and one of my portraits of Romanian gypsies appears beside them.
