I always like the expression ‘outstanding invoice’, as in “I have an outstanding invoice”. But is that ‘outstanding’ as in ‘unpaid’ ?, or ‘outstanding’ as in ‘truely remarkable’ ? I always prefer the latter meaning.

I find the phrase ‘remittance advice’ just as curious like it is a reply about a previous glove information request. On the accountancy theme, I have a client who has a ‘purchase ledger dept’ and and a ‘bought ledger dept’. Very strange, when I pointed it out I think ten people lost their jobs ?
