A couple of weeks back I photographed a tattoed woman, Shoko Tendo, daughter of a (now deceased) Yakuza boss. She has recently written a book called ‘Yakuza Moon’, about her troubled life growing up in a yakuza family.

To read an article about Shoko Tendo, and her book, by Guardian writer Justin McCurry then go here, to see my (cropped) image of Tendo-san and a slideshow of yakuza images ( from where I lifted the above image), then click here.

  2. Yep, I believe it is my pic in The Age. We made contact with Shoko-san via her publishers, Kodansha.
