Cherry blossom season has officially begun….”…The announcement came after blossom was spotted on a closely monitored tree in central Tokyo. “At this afternoon’s observation, we observed six flowers blooming. So, we claim cherry blossom bloomed today,” the agency’s chief of technology, Akira Honda, said….”

Great. Now the parks will smell of stale alcohol for the next two weeks.

Been really busy of late so not time to comment much, but still reading the blog every day (mostly) Yes over the next few weeks the parks will smell, the trains will be petal strewn, the number of alcohol related deaths due to hypothermia will be higher. Sakura season you have got to love it haven`t you. Very cultural stuff.
    Hope you`re keeping busy too.
