I’ve been a bit busy tidying up after my Papua New Guinea assignment, there’s always lots to do after assignments. Edit, caption, send pics, collect receipts from all the pockets you stuffed them whilst you were on the road, then use a web based currency calculator to work out just how much real money “100 kina” is, and then do the invoice itself….

I shot the above pic one morning as I was sitting having breakfast in the hotel in Buka. Nice hotel, sort of a half star hotel with a five star view. They did good fried breakfasts, sausage, egg, baked beans, toast, and good tea (but unfortunately with the powdered milk stuff). Whilst i was there some kids were playing around and this kid had some paper streamers, I thought it looked nice the streams of colour against the blue water. It’s always a good day when by 7am you’ve already shot an image you’re happy with……
